Batesville’s crown jewel was completed in 2017. This facility features a 25,000 sq. ft. gymnasium for athletic and community events. The indoor aquatics center features a 25 meter x 25 yard competition pool, zero depth entry children’s pool and a zero depth entry heated therapy pool. The outdoor aquatics park is sure to amaze with two, two story spiral slides, 400 meter lazy river, tanning decks and much more.

Located in Stone County, approximately 2 miles off Highway 14 near Mountain View, the Blanchard Springs Caverns is one of the most spectacular and carefully developed caves found anywhere. Visitors enter a "living" cave where glistening formations like stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and flowstones are still changing. Located just a short distance away in nearby Heber Springs, Bridal Veil Falls offers a wonderful view of a 50' waterfall. The Heber Springs Parks and Recreation Department maintains the area.

From Hwy 167 south of Batesville take Hwy 230 (Camp Tahkoda Road) west for about 3-4 miles and turn right at the Little Red Store. Hwy 230 becomes Locust Grove Road at this point. Drive for 3-5 miles and turn left onto Jamestown Loop. From Jamestown Loop This road will start uphill after a short distance. Once you reach the top of the hill, pass the radio tower on your right then a water tower on your left. Continue on this road about a quarter of a mile until you pass the Wildlife Management Sign on the right handed side as the road starts to go slightly down hill and turns to gravel.
Jamestown Crag Access Point
At this point there is a gravel turnout on your right, turn in here and follow the trail on the right. The trail is about 2 miles long. The "road" is washed out and very rough. If it has rained recently, expect lots of mud. You will come upon an orange gate. If the gate is closed call Kyle at 870-613-4662 for access. If the gate is open continue in. There will be two logging roads leading to the right DON'T drive down those. The road will come to a Y shortly after, veer right and continue to the parking area. Your vehicle stays here.
Welcome to Kennedy Park, located on the south side of the White River. This park is great to visit in any season, but especially during the late spring, summer and early fall months. Kennedy Park’s playground is located under a grove of trees and is perfect for the little ones on sunny, summer days. There are handicap restroom facilities and pavilions for picnicking and family reunions. Kennedy Park is unique from Riverside Park in that Kennedy Park is home to the Mark House Memorial Boat Ramp and Pavilion. After a full day at the park, exploring the dam, and sand bar, unload your boat and watch the sunset on the beautiful White River. Parking will not be an issue, so bring your boat and family and enjoy an entire day at the park or on the river. The Lyon College Bluff Trail is a trail along a bluff that borders the north side of the campus. It was completed in 2010 and expanded in 2016. The Bluff Trails were made possible by a grant funded by the Arkansas State Highway Department and the Arkansas Recreational Trails Program.
The entrances to the trail are behind the Lyon Building on the west side of the wall for bikes and hikers and down the stairs on the east side of the Lyon Building wall for hikers and runners.
The trail is open to the public. Lyon College is not responsible for any injuries.

The newly renovated Melba Theater is now open for business once again and is celebrating 76 years! Located on Main Street Batesville, the Melba Theater is a single-screen movie theater that seats around 400. The theater also features live events and private parties. Regular movie ticket prices aare $4.
The complex has 5 trap fields and 3 skeet fields. We also have an archery range, 3 pavilions, a 2200 sq. ft. conference center and range office. We offer trap and skeet shootings and free coaching for all ages.

Riverside Park is a park located alongside the beautiful White River and is the most visited park in Independence County. Playgrounds, walking paths, pavilions and a large amphitheater can all be found here. This is also the home of the White River Wonderland Christmas display, the White River Water Carnival and the 4th of July Celebration.
Emerging near the Missouri border in north central Arkansas, the Spring River has been described as the state's most dependable natural stream. Mammoth Spring, flowing at over nine million gallons of 58-degree water per hour, serves as the headwaters for the river and provides plenty of fresh water throughout the year. Rafting, canoeing, and kayaking are all very popular on this frigid stream.
Located a short drive from Batesville in nearby Heber Springs the mountain and surrounding 250 acres are the property of Arkansas State University Heber Springs whose campus is located at the foot of the mountain. Sugarloaf Mountain, the restored Summit Trail and additional trails are open to the public.

The Course at Eagle Mountain sits atop the Batesville golf community. The 18 hole championship course appeals to all golfers. Experienced players will love the challenge. Newer players will enjoy the relaxing scenery. Five different tee sets offers a distance for every skill level. The distances range from 5,008 to 7,009 yards.
The Course at Eagle Mountain features Empire Zoysia fairways and Championship Bermuda Grass greens. This Batesville golf course is a semi-private facility. It offers membership, daily fee play and residential opportunities.

From Bull Shoals to Newport, the White River flows through some of the most scenic regions The Natural State has to offer. Flat-bottomed johnboats, fitted with comfy seats, are the preferred method of fishing and viewing the scenery along the river. Several record-breaking browns and rainbows have been hooked on the upper White.
Below Batesville, the White runs warmer and bass become popular targets. However, it has become a popular attraction during the summer, as its cool crisp water can be floated in small watercraft such as kayaks or canoes.
